Tropical Kailua Wedding

One of the most stunning venues in Hawaii is the Paul Mitchell Estate in Kailua.  It's interesting architecture, beautifully landscaped property, and to-die-for view of the most perfect beach on Oahu makes this location ideal for a wedding!   Last fall we had the pleasure of designing a small wedding at Paul Mitchell Estate using vibrant tropical flowers.  We combined orange, yellow, and hot pink flowers to create the bold color scheme that works so well with tropical flowers, and used intriguing tropical flowers like pin cushion protea and cymbidium & mokara orchids combined with roses and calla lilies.  The different shapes and textures of the flowers made striking designs!  

 

 

 

  

We gave the reception a more modern feel by combining low compact floral arrangements with tall submerged arrangements. This collection of arrangements on the table is definitely a favorite of ours!

A Playful Tropical Wedding

We designed this very fun and playful wedding last summer at a private estate on the North Shore of Oahu.  What made this wedding so fun and unique were the elements incorporated into the designs.  Natural elements like succulents, starfish, coral & driftwood were intertwined with florals for an organic and eclectic look, while the addition of mason jars and local flowers introduced a vintage and tropical feel to the designs.  The array of color and interesting textures made each design truly unique.  The floral colors focused on bold tropical shades of red, orange, and hot pink to contrast with the bride's favorite shade of sea foam green, which we used for the ceremony and the reception through the fabric draping.   This wedding was quite memorable and such fun to design! 

 

 

 

 

 

The ceremony canopy was created out of driftwood and accented with tropical flowers and succulents.

Each table displayed a unique design incorporating twisted grapewood, starfish, coral, succulents, and arrangements in mason jars.  

~

 

Capiz chandeliers and sheer sea foam green fabric filled the clear top tent.  

~

 

Gorgeous lighting provided by Mood Event!  I especially love the red lighting in the lounge canopy!

Rustic Whimsy

Designing this wedding was an absolute joy!  We had so much fun playing with colors and textures, and a wide array of flowers!  The brides love of color was incorporated throughout her wedding using bold shades of purple, pink, red, orange, and yellow.  Textured flowers such as craspedia, yarrow, and celosia added whimsy to the arrangements, while seeded eucalyptus and twine gave the designs a rustic touch.

Island Style

We had fun designing the flowers for this rehearsal dinner at Kualoa Ranch!    To be set in such a quintessentially Hawaiian location is always a treat, but combining it with such a refined Hawaiian palette of color and decor truly makes it an event to remember.  

Vibrant tropical flowers and beautiful tropical fruit give this dinner the perfect Hawaiian flair.

Tanya and Brett

Tanya and Brett's Sunset themed wedding took place on the lovely island of Lana'i.  The ceremony location was at one of the most stunning locations here in Hawaii, at the 12th Hole at  The Challenge at Manele.  The views are to die for!  The reception took place at the Four Seasons at Manele Bay, which also has stunning views of the ocean and the most amazing sunsets.    Working on Lana'i is such a treat as it is one of my favorite destinations for a weekend get away!

Kelly and Don

Lanikuhonua was the perfect venue for Kelly and Don's vibrant and tropical color scheme.  Sunset orange and chartreuse green was accented with eggplant purple to create a lively and festive color palette for this California couple.  Orchids were accented with calla lilies to maintain a tropical yet stylish look.  Sheer orange fabric softened the dining tent as amber lights cast a warm glow over the dining guests.  It was definitely a magical night for Kelly and Don's guests as it was a perfect day with a perfect sunset at Lanikuhonua!  

From Kelly:

"I wanted to thank you both for all of your help last weekend and in the months leading up to the big day.  It really turned out beautiful and our guests were blown away by the flowers! Thank you again for everything."

Vibrant Summer Wedding

Joyce and Ted chose a private estate on Hawaii Loa Ridge as their wedding location.   With a vast blue sky and a sparkling blue ocean as the backdrop for their ceremony and reception, Joyce and Ted wanted their flowers to come alive and pop from this setting.  Vibrant orange and bold pinks were combined with celery green to create the visual impact they were seeking.
