Katrina and Richard had a very intimate wedding this past weekend in Kahala. Twenty-seven guests attended the Catholic ceremony at Star of the Sea Church and then proceeded to The Kahala Resort for an evening that promised impressive entertainment, luxurious decor, and an extravagant dining experience. Katrina and Richard wanted a neutral color scheme so we worked with antique gold, champagne, and pewter to create a sophisticated and cozy atmosphere, and incorporated elegant white and ivory flowers with just a touch of champagne and green. Here is just a glimpse of this beautiful event.....more photos to come soon!
Creamy white roses and hydrangea, fragrant gardenias, and soft phalaenopsis orchids cascaded down the alter table and created a stunning backdrop to the bride and groom.
Luxurious antique gold dupioni silk transformed the Waialae Room into a rich and romantic dining room. The photo below shows this space without the fabric.
A textured champagne damask with a champagne organza overlay dressed each table. Marbled champagne show plates were placed on pewter show plates to give more dimension to the table.
The lounge area consisted of cream oversized chairs and ottomans with espresso brown tables. The photo below shows the space before we transformed it.
I LOVE the lounge area... those dupioni silk fabrics look sooo dreamy!
