Joyce and Ted chose a private estate on Hawaii Loa Ridge as their wedding location. With a vast blue sky and a sparkling blue ocean as the backdrop for their ceremony and reception, Joyce and Ted wanted their flowers to come alive and pop from this setting. Vibrant orange and bold pinks were combined with celery green to create the visual impact they were seeking.
As promised, more photos of Katrina and Richard's wedding!
Ceremony alter piece
The lovely bride with her bouquet of creamy roses, fragrant gardenias, and delicate phalaenopsis orchids.
Katrina's Vera Wang was just stunning!
Katrina and Richard's guests enjoyed cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres outside by the Kahala Lagoon and waterfall. We used beaded embroidered taffeta linens that maintained the same color scheme as the dining area, but with more emphasis on green, and subtle accents of champagne and antique gold. Since the cocktail hour was in a more playful area, we introduced another color (Katrina's favorite color) lavender.
Guest book table
Love this gorgeous, textured linen fromResource One. I've been waiting for just the right wedding that could showcase it!
The champagne organza overlay gave the table a softer, romantic feel.
Phalaenopsis orchids cascaded from the towering centerpieces that included three shades of roses (ivory, champagne, and pale yellow) and green cymbidium orchids.
Ivory pillar candles and gardenia blooms accented the base of each centerpiece.
Large floral displays were placed at the sides of the stage where the very talented Amy Hanaiali'i performed.
Cozy sitting area
Floral arrangements and candlelight accented the lounge and sitting areas.
Candes and Milan chose the beautifulFour Seasons at Manele Bay on Lana`i for their wedding this fall. We are always excited for the opportunity to design a wedding on Lana`i, and this was a special event with gorgeous decor and details.
The bridal bouquet
A cascading bouquet of pink phalaenopsis orchids, ivory cymbidium orchids, and pale pink roses.
Each ivory cymbidium was accented with a diamond and pearl.
The bride requested this unique ring holder in lieu of a pillow. We loved this detail!
Antique Rose with herb accent.
Celosia with rosemary accent.
Gold trays filled with pink roses for guests to toss lined the aisle.
The ceremony backdrop was a curtain of crystal strands and cymbidium orchids.
Leslie and Rocky had a grand affair (with 500 guests!) at Lanikuhonua. They had a Race Car theme, since Rocky and Leslie are both race car drivers, and everything was purple, purple and more purple. Did I say purple?
Every detail was carefully orchestrated to create the expansive event. Three huge white tents bordered a clear top tent that covered the dance floor. From the custom purple linens with the bride's requested black and white checkered underlays, to the checker board dance floor, the race car theme was carried throughout. Purple leg drapes, chandeliers, mirrors, lighting created a purple hue throughout the tent. Custom ice bars were shipped in from Canada and two enormous ice pedestals flanked the head table to hold beautiful flower arrangements. The bride's favorite flower is the purple rose, so this was the primary flower in all of the designs.
Amethyst pin tuck linens covered the rectangular tables under the tent.
Crystals surrounding each centerpiece sparkled under the glow of the candlelight.
Platinum linens with lilac napkins and chair cushions dressed the dining tables outside.
Leslie loved anything that sparkled so sequined balls and crystal spheres were the perfect accent to this modern design.
The lavish decor surrounding the head table created a majestic focal point for the reception.
