Candes and Milan chose the beautifulFour Seasons at Manele Bay on Lana`i for their wedding this fall. We are always excited for the opportunity to design a wedding on Lana`i, and this was a special event with gorgeous decor and details.
The bridal bouquet
A cascading bouquet of pink phalaenopsis orchids, ivory cymbidium orchids, and pale pink roses.
Each ivory cymbidium was accented with a diamond and pearl.
The bride requested this unique ring holder in lieu of a pillow. We loved this detail!
Antique Rose with herb accent.
Celosia with rosemary accent.
Gold trays filled with pink roses for guests to toss lined the aisle.
The ceremony backdrop was a curtain of crystal strands and cymbidium orchids.
Part One featured the flowers. Part Two features the lavish details.....
Lounge seating surrounded the dance floor and band.
Mirrored garlands and fabric "walls" separated the lounge and dance area from the dining tables.
A custom ice bar was shipped all the way from Canada!
Patron Ice Luge
The candy shop!
Leslie and Rocky's custom monogram was featured throughout the reception. In the candy shop it floated above the candy display.
The wedding cake, designed byCake Lava, that keeps with the race car theme.
The Groom's cake, also created by Cake Lava, was a replica of the car that Rocky drives.
Purple velour curtains against a purple sheer fabric "wall" created an impressive backdrop to the head table.
Chandeliers hung from all three dining tents.
All three dining tents had Leslie and Rocky's monogram roaming across the ceiling.
Purple lighting created a night club feel for the lounge/dance tent. Gobos created a playful pattern over each lounge area.
Thank you to Weddings by Grace & Mona for executing such a smooth event and to JMJ Rentalsfor supplying the expansive tent that took much collaboration to create the look we wanted to achieve. It's always a pleasure working with you both!
Leslie and Rocky had a grand affair (with 500 guests!) at Lanikuhonua. They had a Race Car theme, since Rocky and Leslie are both race car drivers, and everything was purple, purple and more purple. Did I say purple?
Every detail was carefully orchestrated to create the expansive event. Three huge white tents bordered a clear top tent that covered the dance floor. From the custom purple linens with the bride's requested black and white checkered underlays, to the checker board dance floor, the race car theme was carried throughout. Purple leg drapes, chandeliers, mirrors, lighting created a purple hue throughout the tent. Custom ice bars were shipped in from Canada and two enormous ice pedestals flanked the head table to hold beautiful flower arrangements. The bride's favorite flower is the purple rose, so this was the primary flower in all of the designs.
Amethyst pin tuck linens covered the rectangular tables under the tent.
Crystals surrounding each centerpiece sparkled under the glow of the candlelight.
Platinum linens with lilac napkins and chair cushions dressed the dining tables outside.
Leslie loved anything that sparkled so sequined balls and crystal spheres were the perfect accent to this modern design.
The lavish decor surrounding the head table created a majestic focal point for the reception.
The mystique and intrigue of Clarissa and Brian's dramatic and intimate wedding was created using rich colors of deep purple, vibrant apple and emerald green, and soft lavender. Lush, bold florals, a dim room with the glow of purple lighting, enhances a space so delicious with color, you can taste the romance!
The bride carried a tight hand tied bouquet of cymbidium orchids, calla lilies, roses, viburnum, kale, and fiddlehead.
Bouquet handle detail
The tables were dressed in textured eggplant linens and sage green napkins.
