Being in Hawaii, we often find ourselves outdoors on the weekend setting up for a wedding next to a beach. This past weekend we had the opportunity to set up a glamorous wedding inside a ballroom. Mood, a division of Yvonne Design, had the pleasure of creating a romantic and elegant ceremony setting for Trisha and Gavin in the Mauka Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency in Waikiki. Floor to ceiling white fabric draping and a custom ceiling installation of white fabric glowed softly with amber lighting to create a romantic atmosphere. Mood created a round ceremony platform that was placed in the center of the ballroom as guests were seated on all sides of the platform to create a full circle. Trisha and Gavin's inspiration for their ceremony decor was a design created by the brilliant David Beahm of David Beahm Design in New York. As guests dined in a white fabric draped ballroom next door, our Mood team transformed the ceremony area into a swanky lounge. The atmosphere of the ballroom transitioned into a night club as the lights went from soft amber to brilliant blue.
This round platform would create a stunning base for a sweetheart table or even a cake table.
